About Me

Hello! My name is Marie Frank, Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, with a Master's of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Ever since beginning my studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Diego in 2006, I knew I had found my calling. I am passionate about helping people, and the pathway of TCM opened up my world to a way of introducing balance, well being, and holistic health to all those I am honored to treat.

I've always loved learning, and graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts and Science, with a major in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in Philosophy. My life education continued when I lived in Changhua, Taiwan for one year teaching English. I then decided to continue my studies and luckily found the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

After receiving my Masters of Science in TCM in 2010, I traveled to China and completed an internship at the Chengdu University Hospital. Observing and learning from practitioners in the country of this medicine's origin was an amazing experience, and the tools I brought home with me still come through in my work today.

My practice and I have traveled all over the world. I first opened Open Lotus Acupuncture and Herbs in Littleton, CO and Denver, CO in 2011. Then with a move to Norway in 2014 I was able to practice in the small mountain town of Bo in the Telemark mountains. The experience of treating Norwegians and expats during the 5 years I lived there was an experience that expanded my horizons and instilled a deeper sense of care, compassion and understanding for all humans that will stay with me forever.

I now practice from the lovely mountain town of Granby, CO, back in my home state of Colorado. I am delighted to be offering this magnificent medicine to those in my community as a licensed acupuncturist, as a mother, and as a woman who has experienced the trials and tribulations of life on earth. Because of my unique experiences, I have a wide breadth of understanding and compassion for people from all walks of life, facing the myriad of life challenges from a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual perspective.

With all patients, treatment plans are catered to the individual and their specific needs at present, and include the following:
